Accelerating climate change, resource challenges and biodiversity loss put pressure on us all to act. Duni Group has strived for many years to lead the development of environmentally smart disposable products. Products that provide maximum functionality and long-term solutions for recycling, composting, or reuse. The updated 2030 strategy, Our Decade of Action, steps up our sustainability efforts even more. The ambition is to give back more than we take. We want to enable regenerative business models that let both current and future generations prosper socially and economically without adverse environmental impact.  ​​​​​​​

Our Annual and Sustainability Report summarizes how we worked with sustainability and circularity the previous year, focusing on concrete improvements and results. It outlines Duni Group’s view on being our customers’ leading sustainability partner and offering climate-smart solutions, focusing on improvements along the whole life cycle. The Group board of directors and top management continuously follow up on our sustainability work.   

To meet our bold sustainability targets for 2030, we must cooperate with like-minded stakeholders throughout the value chain. It boils down to finding the best sustainable solution for every customer, whether single-use or multi-use, relying on composting, recycling, or reuse. In 2021, we invested in two companies with multi-use solutions for take-away food: German Relevo and Spanish Bûmerang. We also built a partnership with Swedish &Repeat, which has developed systems that improve disposable packaging collection.

In 2021, we analyzed our operation deeper and how it connects to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a result, we have prioritized five SDGs that fit well into our three sustainability initiatives and provide opportunities to understand our sustainability work, externally and internally. The prioritized goals are:

Duni Group is recognized as a certified “Nasdaq ESG transparency partner” for our contribution to the Nasdaq’s ESG Data Portal. The certification signals engagement in market transparency and in raising environmental standards. The recognition is provided to companies that display transparent and objective data to its investors when it comes to Environmental, Social, and Governance issues.
